When you purchase jewellery from us, we want it to be a wonderful experience; we want you to know that you are buying genuine quality. There are many different plating systems that are used in today’s jewellery products. Let us tell you about the precious metals that we use in our beautiful collections.
Most of our items are fully hallmarked, meaning they are independently guaranteed to meet the UK’s quality standards. The ‘925’ mark that each piece carries confirms that our sterling silver has a minimum silver content of 92.5%. A Plated finish helps to protect a piece from tarnishing and adds a polished finish. There are three different coloured finishes; white, yellow and rose. During each piece’s design, we carefully select a finish that adds depth and appeal.
14ct yellow gold finish:
This is a traditional and popular choice. It has a beautiful, natural shine and is particularly suited to warm skin tones. Its hard-wearing nature makes it resistant to scratches.
14ct rose gold finish:
A delightful and sophisticated finish that is fast becoming the next big thing. It brings a striking rosy red appearance to the piece and offers an eye-catching alternative to the yellow and white gold finishes. The wonderful pink hues come from the copper that is alloyed with the gold.
Rhodium (white) finish:
This beautiful, slivery-white and highly reflective metal is more expensive than gold or platinum. It’s used to protect silver, white gold and platinum from discolouration and tarnishing, adding that traditional, sought-after lustre to the piece.
Black rhodium’s grey-black finish is a dramatic and striking alternative to the more traditional rhodium plating.
Platinum (white) finish:
Platinum is one of the rarest and most precious elements, so rare that all the platinum ever mined would fit into an average size living room. Our platinum range has a unique three layer plating technique consisting of a fine layer of palladium, overlaid with platinum and a further layer of rhodium, ensuring a longer lasting finish. This natural metal is extremely durable, tarnish resistant and compatible with all skin types. The distinctive subtle silvery tones are the epitome of eternal luxury.
